PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Director - Business Continuity is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing the governance of business continuity plans for Warner Bros. Position provides professional, specialized skills, including business continuity planning, project management and problem analysis to include financial management and resolution to Warner Bros. business units. The position works to identify and assess business disruption risks and their impact associated with current business practices and strategic plans.
Position must work closely with business units, the IT organization, information and physical security, and external parties to establish and regularly review key business strategies in alignment with business continuity management needs, including the recovery and restoration of Warner Bros. mission-critical business processes, organizations, personnel, data and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Creating, implementing, exercising and maintaining business continuity, recovery or crisis management plans for all business units within the company
? Translate strategy into actionable processes and programs, demonstrate strategic thinking and effectively link the enterprise's business continuity management activities with business operations
? Develop and manage schedules for training/awareness for plans and general employee awareness
? Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses; develop appropriate business disruption risk mitigation strategies and controls and if required, manage implementation of those strategies
? Manage cross-business-unit interdependencies and expenditures for business continuity management (for example, applications used by many business units across the enterprise), as well as coordinate and facilitate cross-enterprise business continuity management/disaster recovery exercises
? Leads and directs project teams consisting of Warner Bros. employees and/or consultants in the development of emergency response or recovery plans for all business units. Project teams may report directly into the Business Continuity Department or to other Warner Bros. business units
? Report the business continuity status of business units to senior management
? Ensure business continuity efforts company-wide are in compliance with Warner Bros. business continuity standards, emergency preparedness best practices and internal/external audit requirements
? Manage consultant assignments on business continuity related projects and prioritize workloads
? Identify and manage business opportunities to refine production processes to mitigate exposure during disruptions of service and, possibly, improve day-to-day operations
? Manage the execution of all recovery plans when a business disruption occurs.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
? Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management or related field in addition related business experience
? Experience providing business process solutions to business problems and identifying opportunities for improvement
? Must have presentation experience at the senior management level
? Project management experience required
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
? CBCP, CISSA, CISSP or MBCP, PMP certification would be an advantage
? Prior exposure to disaster recovery and business continuance policies, procedures, regulations and governance processes a strong advantage
? Exposure to regulatory requirements impacting the company (e.g. NERC CIP, NRC Title 10, HIPPA, SOX, FCC, etc), is required
? Must have strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills
? Must have strong written & verbal communication skills
? Must be able to interface with and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners in remote locations
? Must have excellent relationship management, customer service, and influence skills
? Independent worker, accountable, and able to exercise sound judgment
? Ability to demonstrate teamwork, and actively participate as a member of a team, balancing organizational and personal objectives effectively
? Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned
? Must be detail oriented and be a good listener
? Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate international meeting schedules by participating in video or conference calls beyond the normal schedule when necessary
? Event management support requires on-call responsibilities
? Approximately 25% Domestic and International travel required.
