Summer Challenge!- Health, Exercise, Fitness, Workout, Personal ...

We worked hard this year to come up with a challenge that will really test our people?s overall fitness. We didn?t want to have some random workout, or a single event, used to determineanything. With this in mind we have created ?The Summer of Suck Challenge?. There are 10 events and the mens and womens leader will be the one who has the highest overall score.?Five points?for top score in each event,?four points?for second and so on.? You don?t have to win any single event, just do well across 10. Some you will like, others you will not. You must be registered before June 1 and we will keep going until August 1st. You can do the events in any order and as many times as you want. You MUST do them at Live Long Fitness and you must have a trainer witness it. The enents are?.

1) 1000m row for time

2) Back drag the Westside sled 800m loaded with 1/2 your current bodyweight for time. We will determine the course and that will be the only one that counts.

3)Seated BB Press. Chest to lock out. You can wiggle and lean but BOTH feet must be kept on floor. for load

4) Single dumbbell taken from the floor to an overhead locked out position. Any method, either hand. It is any way overhead for load.

5) 33 Burpees for time. We will show standard.

6)?Triple jump for max distance. We will show standard and measuring guidelines.

7) Push a prolwer(any one is fine) loaded with 240lbs for the ladies and 330lbs for the gentlemen. You go until you stop making any forward progress. Max distance.

8) ?Three rounds of 500m row, 12 body weight dead lifts (weight will be rounded up) and 21 box jumps (14/17). This is very close to CrossFit?s classic ?Christine? WOD, we scaled the box jump height for our purposes.

9) One minute of ?fugly wall balls? for max reps. We will show you these and the standards. It is 30lbs for gents and 20lbs for ladies and the targets will be on 6?6 posts.

10)? 50 reps of barbell ground to overhead with 65lbs for the ladies and 95lbs for the gentlemen. This is light and will be a dead sprint.

This challenge will test you in a lot of various areas and should be looked at as a great way to test out all the work you have been doing. We avoided a lot of one and 3 rep max work because we do a good deal of that week to week. Simply working on these 10 events through June and July will do wonders for your overall fitness levels!
