Union Bank appoints corporate banking regional director

Union Bank, N.A. has announced the appointment of Richard J. Rizzo, Jr. as the senior vice president and regional director of mid-corporate banking for the Northeast region.

During his career Rizzo has worked for a number of firms, including Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Bank of America, and covered a range of banking areas, such as capital markets, corporate banking and wealth management/private banking.

Rizzo, who is to be based at the firm?s New York corporate office, will oversee the expansion of corporate banking services into the Northeast region.

There will be a particular focus upon key markets, including New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Chris Freeman, Union Bank senior vice president and head of national corporate banking, welcomed Rizzo, and his substantial experience in corporate banking, to the firm.
